Serious violinists and historical performance enthusiasts, these Gamut gut strings are the real deal for authentic Baroque sound!

This medium gauge set is specifically designed for historical performance at a=415 pitch, giving you that warm, complex tone that modern strings just can't replicate.

The set includes e-1 Treble Gut at 0.56mm, a-2 Treble Gut at 0.76mm, D-3 Pistoy Gut at 1.04mm, and G-4 Gut/Silver-Wound at 0.84mm.

They're made from beef serosa which has higher tensile strength than sheep gut, making them more durable for longer string lengths or instruments that need extra strength.
The tone is absolutely beautiful - rich fundamental with these complex, pleasing overtones that just sing.

These are hand-made in the USA by Gamut Music, who are leaders in early music string revival.
Important note - gut strings don't play well with fine tuners, so you'll want to remove those before installation.
The e, a, and D strings come with plain ends for tying, while the G has a 3D-printed ball end.

They include instructions for tying the proper knots too.

If you're playing Baroque violin or just want that authentic historical sound, these strings will completely transform your instrument's voice.
The warmth and character you get from real gut is something synthetic strings just can't match!
